How do we Reggio?

Pop Art! Kids is a Reggio Emilia inspired art studio. We trust your kids. Yes, even you're 1.5 year old. We trust him with shake bottles of glitter, we trust her with squeeze bottles of paint, and we trust a room of 10 toddlers with a bin of 50+lbs of dyed rice! We spill, we get our hands messy, and then I ask for paint covered high-fives. We are here for your child, but also for you mom (or dad, or grandpa, nanny or au-pair!) We design our sensory stations with purpose, and to facilitate interactions amongst each other. So come on in, share joy, make some mom friends, get your hands messy. I’ll clean up the mess :)

What’s the deal with sensory play anyway?

The truth is, a devastating rare genetic disease diagnosis for our son combined with a global pandemic is who I owe for Pop Art! Kids. Our 2 year olds early intervention services were shut down during the pandemic and with my creative background I discovered the many benefits of sensory bins, enjoyed the process of creating them and saw my son thrive in the simplicity of what I created for him. Pop Art! Kids focus is to give children of all abilities a place to thrive also. Every single station at our studio has intention. Sensory bins for little hands to work on muscle control, fine & gross motor skills, options for scooping and pouring to initiate motor planning skills. Scents, textures and sounds to awaken multiple senses all at once. Pop Art! Kids is exactly what your child’s first art class should be all about. We’re focused on the joy of creating, of sharing magical memories and the quality of sensory experiences for your most precious little artist.
